Well, you asked… Take a look at your previous post from yesterday at 12:37 and see if you can figure out what might be offensive about that. (Hint: the emoticons make it worse, not better.) No one has appointed me arbiter - I am just reporting to you a growing consensus that you, JR - you - are the principal source of divisive and combative posts that are a turn-off for everyone else and the main concern as we try to craft a technical and policy solution for a common HG/PG forum that will not be poisoned by "trolls". It would be easy to just say "throw JR off the forum" but people are trying not to tailor the solution to you, but rather to come up with a policy that would not be arbitrary and capricious. We could all pass the peace pipe and sing "Kumbaya" if you would just promise to behave - and then follow through. If you are honest with yourself, I think you understand what the complaint is about your exuberant writing style. Resist the temptation to send that zinger! You can do it, man - just try!

Re: Multiple candidates running for Region IX Director
Hugh, I'll do my best Gandhi impression and try to go Pollyanna with any future post so as not to offend your delicate sensibilities or those for whom you have become the self-appointed spokesperson. It won't be easy, but I think I can do it if I just keep thinking happy thoughts.
BTW, I like singing Kumbaya. It reminds me of my youth in the Boy Scouts of America!

Thank you. I really mean it. I, too, am resisting the temptation to respond in kind. - Hugh

Damn, that looks like a manly man hiding behind the Pollyanna mask. Hmmm, a cross dresser? who-da-thunk.
