Can't have a wedding. Weather looks good :) I would go early and head north as it looks like it may OD/shade over.

Current forecasts are not favoring Saturday at Highland. Considering making the trip across the bay tomorrow. Will post in the morning if I go. Ward

It was a spectacular day at highland today. Sadly ended in a freak accident involving a plane and Steve Kinsley (and his glider). He's apparently safe.

I'm going to miss a weekend because of family obligations. Safe flying tomorrow, and watch out for low-flying airplanes!

I posted a 10 min. clip on youtube from last Friday while at cloudbase, playing around, flying with Ward and Travis. A few really cool shots in there.
Unedited video from my front camera. Boy there's a a lot of footage when using 2 cameras!
One of those links should work:

PS. Mark, thanks for turning"Edit" on, I'm already using it! Now I know I'm supposed to be able to share videos here directly (not only using a link) how do I do that? I tried every way I could imagine...

As highlighted in Felix’s video, the thermal conditions couldn’t have been better on Friday (the 20th). Most of us were at or near cloud base when Steve was having issues with an airplane and its propeller grinding through his U2. Spent most of the 2+ hr flight thermalling with Felix and Travis G along cloud streets that extended from south of downtown Ridgely to over the airport and beyond. Here are some photos of the day.
