Sounds like fun , was even thinking of giving it a try today but just had a gust front blow thru with heavy rain and more showing up on radar out to the west. Tomorrow looks nice and sunny. count me in hope we can get some more people interested also and make it like the old days of flying HIGH ROCK

If the weather is good to my level, I would love to go. I would need an observer:)

I just texted with Rich Hays. He is loaded up and is planning an ETA of 11ish. I should be there also. I had 2 flights last Sunday at High Rock. The LZ has long weeds, but they are sparse and will not be an issue for landing.

I also called 800-WX-Brief and there are no TFR's for Camp David at this time for Saturday.

Based on the current winds, and the clouds in PA, let's go with High Rock. We can always hit the road for the pulpit if conditions are too light.

That. Was. Frickin'. Awesome!

Super fun day, at least 11 pilots, everyone soared, combo of challenging conditions and nice conditions, lots of people digging itout from down low to continue their flights, cloudy early/blue later. Wow!

Topped out at 3k over launch, flew for about 2 hours. Happy and tired!

Yep.. Great day-- 3 hours, 20 minutes and 3K over. Had a low save near the LZ at 300 agl and topped out at almost 3K over. Lots of big thermals and lots of little punchy ones. Karen had a nice soaring flight late in the afternoon with 1200 over. Others included Valerie, Richard Hays, Tim Bowen, Kelvin, Dan Tuck., Kurtis, John Middleton. Newish H2 Trevor got some magic air at the end of the day.

Big thanks to Carlos for coming out to crew and to Anthony, one of John's students, who also crewed.
