Heard Lazlo got 2.5 hours in 3 flights and went over the back on at least one Cavanaugh also flew-- no details yet. Looks like we missed the boat.

The PGers definitely had the better day, soaring flights all around. I was the onlyHG to fly, and got a brief 15-20 min flight and a few hundred over. Definitely worth the gamble, and I'm trying to cap the day now with some meteors!

Yes, on my second flight I went over the back with only 1200 over launch. Maintained for a while, but then sunk out and landed at the school. The reason I am posting this is that I was given a ride back to launch by a nice fellow named Art Bert (spelling?), a former HG and PG pilot, and member of CHGPA. He lives nearby, asked a lot of questions about the club, and mentioned Danny Brotto and Steve Kinsley. He said he used to mow the lawn at the Pulpit launch, and also noted that the wood on the ramps need weatherproofing.

Art Barrick. He was the local (McConnellsburg area) HG pilot in the what, mid-80's? Lived near the Letterkenny depots and I believe he worked there too. Was very helpful in helping to keep launches clear and LZ's open. Good guy!
Thought about flying the HG yesterday but the day developed late. Flew the sailplane local (i.e. not XC) for 3+ hours. Max altitude as 5K MSL but most of the time was around 3K. Got really sweet later in the day with widespread lift.
