P2 looking to fly at a training hill on Sunday

Post by Cjones404 »

Hi All,

I am a recently minted P2 who just moved into the area. I'm interested in hitting up a training hill on Sunday to try out a new wing and refresh my skills before moving on to more serious launch sites. Anyone interested in going? Maybe an observer, or some other P1's or P2's? Also, I am still buying a car, so this post is also a shameless plea for a ride...

Thanks, hope to meet some of you soon!

Seems like it might be flyable at Kirschner's on Sunday, if the N forecast holds. It's 20-30 minutes past the Pulpit.

Welcome to the area, and congrats on your P-2 rating! You've got some amazing flying adventures in your future.... And I really hope you can link up with someone who's planning a training hill day this weekend!

Chris,

I also need some practice hill time! I like Mark's suggestion of Kirschner's, but would like to try for Saturday morning and then head over to the Pulpit afterwards. would that work for you? Where do you need a pick up? I would be coming from Baltimore/Annapolis area, so NOVA/DC is pretty far out of the way.
