Monday Flying?

Post by John Simon »

I am off Monday and it is looking pretty solid. Light winds and maybe a triangle of some kind (Highland). Looks like 4500 -5500 feet and 500fp... should be pretty sweet. Anyone interested?

Thanks,

John

Danny and I flew todday at Highland. Stunning lift all about. I got there late as usual, launched at 3pm and flew for 2.5 hours. After getting high and staying there for nearly an hour, I played the up and down game, getting low and digging out a few times to practice. 500 fpm at 5 pm, and super smooth. Then I shot myself down for real in an up sky when the beer suck became unbearable. Gorgeous day, eagles and hawks, 5000' , and mostly 300 fpm or so, but some 500 and 600. Mostly just smooth and easy climb and a grand tour about the Ridgely, Greensboro and Tuckahoe areas. Pure sweetness, but no XC miles.
