Please take a moment to remember what this day is really about. Most importantly if you see an old man wearing a hat that says WWII or Korea War Vet, stop for a moment, offer to shake his hand, and and tell him thank you. He will appreciate it more than you know, and you will never be able to repay what he did for you.

I could have phrased my last post a bit better. We all owe these guys a debt we can never repay. Take a moment to thank one if you meet one. Many of these WWII vets in particular might not be around to see the next Memorial Day.

Good sentiments, Dan. Of course we are more likely to run into worthy vets if we get out of the house, but when we do we should remember to do just what you say.
