Yep, looks like the major stuff will be through by 3, but there's always the possibility of more developing behind it. If so, it should be small and quick. I maybe should have come and taken a hotel room last night....

I'll be hitting the road at around 3pm, but might push that back if it will mean avoiding lot of the rain.

OK I have a similar plan. On the road around 3PM.

We might also be in. WS looking more blown out tomorrow. Maybe leaving here around 2-- ETA 4 at Pulpit-- watching the radar.

Not really feeling it today, what with tomorrow's forecast looking blown out even at Woodstock (for me at least). I applaud those heading up just for the festivities, but I think Liz and I are going to stay home. If only the Pulpit wasn't such a long drive. Sorry.

it's that one particular one there.

If you're thinking of bailing today, you might want to RE-think..... Take a look at a radar loop, and you'll see that the front is pushing through at the Pulpit *right now*. And I don't see much likelihood of anything behind it. Yeah, there could be a pop-up or two, but even if so, that's not going to ruin the day. And the chance of rain on the NWS hourly is now only 23% at 4pm. Woo-hoo!

Four gliders set up. None flew. It was crankin' all afternoon without even a sucker lull. Still we had a better turnout than predicted, including from those who knew they weren't going to fly. Maybe 15-20 people altogether? There was an abbreviated nocturnal airshow commensurate with the smaller attendance. As always more than enough food and drink for everyone. I always seem to come home with more beer than I bring.brianvh wrote:

The fire was a major challenge requiring constant care. However, given the conditions, it was remarkably successful.
Tim from Ellenville(?) showed up around midnight on his way down south. Gary, Mark, and I left him in the parking area as we left this morning.

I wonder if Tim made it to Woodstock today? He was definitely interested.

that which shows me the way, my shining light, my beacon in the darkness…you know, my flashlight - small, pocket-size, black w/ cracked lens, pricey. If you know of its whereabouts pls contact me. thanks.
