The USHPA HQ sent me the following announcement. The formatting didn't translate in this post so it's just a little harder to read than in my version but the essential information is all there.
When I was learning to fly a PG in Bulgaria the local pilots all told me that Annecy is a don't miss location. I hope to get there some day.

Could you please spread this information to your hang gliding clubs, on the flying spots and to your colleague pilots?
France is organizing 3rd to 13th July 2013 the Pre-worlds Class 1 women, Sport, 2 & 5, in the famous and scenic area of Annecy. Here is the organisation's page (with registration and accommodation links): http://dca.ffvl.fr/hg2014/index.php/en/ . Please note there's an amateur cycle race in the same area on 7th July (4500 only racers in 2012), thus it's critical to book accommodation early. Let's go and make it a success!
