A comp pilot friend from the UK just got posted in the US and is looking for vehicle recommendations. My opinion was 2WD but I don't frequent the S sites or much past that 2 hour driving radius. Any one have useful opinions about what a good vehicle is for DC flying?
Thanks,
Kev

Re: Vehicle Recommendations
Hey Kevin
You don't need anything special around here to get to our flying sites. I have a two wheel drive Tacoma truck and can easily get to any site in the region. However, a two wheel street car would be fine too. The only site that comes to mind that would need extra clearance would be Daniels.
I would say that he should get whatever he wants, provided he can put a rack on it.

Any car will suffice. I have a 2dr acura integra and have had no problem getting to any site on the east coast for the last 10+ years.

Nice George! I too have ridden to Daniels on a motorcycle with a paraglider. It ain't easy, but it sure gets good gas mileage.
