Used the pre storm winds to soar Cape Cod on Sunday. Since I'm not right on the shoreline I suffered no direct impacts.

But southern Manhattan got flooded due to storm surge, all subways down for indeterminate amount of time. Reduced to bus and bike. Grocery stores open though.

We lost a tree we were planning on having cut down. It came down without damaging anything.

Thank you Sandy-- you saved me several hundred dollars.

I’m always looking for opportunities to justify having bought this here manly-sized chainsaw. If you want, we could chop it up into pieces and you’d only have to pay to have the stuff hauled away that no one wants for firewood.

the offer’s there.
