Town Hall meeting with the National Parks Service Tomorrow!

Post by Dan T »

Eleanor Holmes Norton is sponsoring a town hall meeting with the National Parks Service (NPS) tomorrow evening. The town hall meeting is being touted as an opportunity to complain the the NPS about its parks located inside Washington DC. The meeting is scheduled to run from 6:30 to 8:30 PM and will be located in room 412 of the John A Wilson building. Everyone is entitled to attend.

This might be an opportunity to get our NPS initiative in front of several more NPS decision makers as well as an opportunity to present a request to open up Haines Point and other suitable Washington DC sites to kiting. I am going to attend. I encourage those of you who can to do so as well.

Details are provided at the official sites listed below.

Driving south-bound on 295, I've wondered at the possibility of a NE-facing training hill in Anacostia Park (NPS) on one of the overpass hills they're still working on.

Come on down. It's a short walk from the Federal Triangle Metro. I'll be there.
