Re: Highland Saturday
Will most likely go since I can't teach with SE expected winds.

Re: Highland Saturday
Fairly decent day there though a ratty tow for me and a few others. About 10 solo pilots and a lot of tandems. I towed up a little before 3 and got close to an hour. Better conditions around 1:30. Jon B even did a short Xc fight. Maybe others will comment about their flights.

Pretty fun day at Highland. I echo John's comments about ratty tow and just overall ratty air. Tight tricky thermals with a strong inversion around 3100msl.
Amy had graciously agreed to drive so I thought it would be a good opportunity to go XC. I slowly drifted to the NE bouncing up and down between 2000msl and 3000msl in tricky thermals for about an hour before I ended up succumbing to a tremendous amount of sink that I could just not seem to run from in any direction...or find the thermal I was hoping was waiting at then end of it. Ended up a short 4 miles from the airport in a nice field with a a super nice landowner across the street. She even had some friendly German Shepards that I played with for a while breaking my glider down. Fun day! It was great to see Paul and Sam out there as well!! Big thanks to Amy for picking me up.

Re: Highland Saturday
It is great to hear that Paul and Sam were out, I am sorry that I missed that. I spent the day with my crew and did some chores, since I had been at the TC in TN the week before and then flew Highland last Monday. Congrats on another XC flight in the logbook JB.
