Geez ... that had to HURT. I've certainly never seen anything like this, but will note that oh-so-many years ago I was a paratrooper at Fort Bragg and we had quick releases on the risers specifically for the case that wind was dragging us. I never had to use them, but still ... figured that feature was fairly inexpensive and technologically simple ... yet it seems this poor guy didn't have the option. After the first few drags he may not have had the capability to use them even if they were there, but I think he would have on the first one - he had the strength to get up and run. Then again, being a guy ....

It's amazing how quickly the thermal releases and picks him up! I was yelling at the other guy to jump on his parachute, but he got dragged too!
