Nice photos, Hugh! Good to see you having fun in the air. The proximity to the ground and buildings is amazing and unnerving to me who is used to the mountains.
btw, facebook says I don't have permission to post comments.

Re: Bali paragliding
Hmmm, seems like I somehow posted the editorial version. What happens if you go straight in through Facebook? Ya, the smoothness and reliability of the lift is remarkable. If you go the other direction toward Uluwatu (on a left cross day) there is a "point of no return" - the (higher) cliffs run straight down to the water. Earlier in the week some pilots ended up in trees when they were bucking a headwind trying to come back from a foray - it was that or the water. I talked to an Indonesian hang-glider pilot - the launch of course is brain dead easy for HG, but he said they either landed on the beach (there's one with vehicular access) or top land right at the lip of the cliff (!). There is an inland cross-country site, but the logistics of getting there, arranging site orientation, narrow window (1/2 hour between too little and too much wind), retrieval - compared to the ease of the Timbis cliff site (10 minutes from lodging, cold drink vendors at launch, top landing, no road traffic hassles, brain-dead soarable all day) led us to goof off and stay put. - Hugh

Pretty cool. Who's the chick with the tattoo? Normally I don't go in for body paint of any kind but this is gorgeous.

Jason is a guy. Well, it seems like most younger women (and there are more of them every year, heh, heh) have tats, so get over it. - Hugh

Guess I shouldn't be surprised Bali dudes wear necklaces and ear rings.
Sigh, a woman with a tattoo is never completely nekked. Frustrating.
