Another terrific day at Woodstock. Almost all PG but it was clearly soarable for both wings. First flights launched at about 1:00, choppy boiling air, a little too bubbly to be comfortable on a PG but with pretty good OTB XC potential for a HG. I put my PG down after about 40 minutes because the fun factor was in the red.
By 4:00 the thermal activity had calmed down just enough to make for very pleasant but still somewhat active flying conditions. I flew to the edge of Strasburg and back, twice! So did Tom, although he flew to the North side and then some, in a straight line, going up nearly all the way.
Pilots included Krista, Tom, Randy (PG this time), Jim M, Mike, Matt (HG). All of the PG pilots landed after their second or more flights because the sun was going down.
