Announcement from the USHPA re. Ft. AP Hill

Post by Dan T »

Below you will find a link to a federal proposal to expand the vertical restricted airspace in the area surrounding Fort AP Hill, near Bowling Green, VA. I don’t know if this will impact any flight activities for USHPA pilots, but thought that I would at least make you aware of the proposal. There is an opportunity for public comment if you feel it may be necessary to protect current free flight areas. The proposal begins in the middle of the pdf pages that are attached.

Please feel free to post this information or forward it on to pilots that fly in Virginia.

Thanks,

Jeff

Heading north from Blue Sky/Manquin could be a factor--trying to remember, once flew near there and between the choppers in the air and the forested area below it didn't look especially inviting as I recall.
Great Googly-moo!
