So... there is an opportunity to get some flying applications (via FAA).
My wishlist for info-at-my-fingertips-while-flying (maybe on my smart phone?) includes:
• up to date radar images - regional, not just where i am at the moment. i can see that dark cloud 2 miles away just fine
• special use airspace (camp david) active or not?
• real time update of weather systems (where is the low/high/ front)
• real time update of weather soundings (skew-Ts)
• real time updates of cloud base and projected cloud base for next 2 hours
• real time updates of vertical development height and projected for next 2 hours
• microburst warnings (in case you don't know what a microburst is- that happens when there is severe sink - it has been described by onlookers as the hand of god pushing an aircraft onto the ground)
• height and severity of wind shears
Any additional info you'd like to have while going XC, flying sailplanes, ultralights or GA? Your dream might come true
Let me know and let me know if you're a HG pilot, PG pilot, sailplane pilot, ultralight pilot or GA pilot

Re: cockpit wish list?
From the GA side of things, maybe something that shows TFRs in real time, particularly given that we got VIPs flying around constantly.
