Strong and way too north. Rotor surfing. Very rough. 3 or 400 over made a big difference but it was still terrible. Game plan was to head to the north point, get high and at least have a nice ride back. But I was looking at ground speeds of 5 or 6 mph so I gave it up just north of fat thumb. Roger demonstrated the value of a fast glider in bucking a headwind. Gary didn't launch until 5 and still got clobbered. Jeff didn't launch his PG until 6 and it didn't look to me like he was having fun.
