checking in; kudos to the sitemeister

Dan,

Since your note was affixed to a Hyner thread (??) in the CHGPA forum, just happened to note the post, but did not see to whom the John in this case referred. Did John MIddleton have an accident I missed reading about? Was there another pilot John injured lately? I'll accept your well wishes anyway, for the whole lot of us!

My whack was already a month ago. I posted a post mortem (not!), but didn't advise the damages, which I learned later. A couple of small fractures (C-6 and L-3), but happily no knifery or pins recommended. But will take some time and not only will there be no flying, but no tennis, biking, paddling or lawn darts, either, for awhile. Oy.

Of course, I get to read of all your exploits in CHGPA and yahoo_PG forums. But I only go there every 2 or 3 weeks, to keep the green envy dampened down.

Meanwhile, Dan, can I say thanks to your Region 9 leadership on the flying site retention/ reclamation/ discovery front? This is the holiest of grails we have before us, say I.

Since John M. already mentioned a bit about the details... I think it's ok to say that he's dealing with some sciatica/back-pain,
thankfully *not* caused by a flight-related injury. I had a brush with a herniated disk myself around '96 or so, and can attest that it really and completely sucks.

Sorry to hear about your (John A's) damage, but sure glad to hear that surgery isn't being recommended. Hang in there, I hope that you achieve a complete recovery very soon, and that you are back into the air with airtime-envy a thing of the past!

MarkC

PS: Ditto on the kudos for all of Dan T's efforts!
