Anyone have a cell number for one of the Highland folks? I would like to catch up with them about towing with them and can't seem to reach anyone via email or at the main number.

Thanks,

Matt

You might want to shoot them an email Matt. They're all probably bustin' a$$ to get the tug ready for another season, plus all the other stuff that has to happen when getting back into operation after the winter down-time.

I am planning to get my glider from BS later today and head to Highland either either Saturday or Sunday. Still need to look at the weather. Thanks for the feedback guys. Still looking forward to meeting you all.

Thanks,

Matt

A few of us flew there on Saturday and a few tandems. On the way there was discouraged by the haze when I got to the Bay Bridge but it was a little better there when I arrived. A little more windy (E) on the ground then predicted and the sun why trying to burn off the haze. Did two flights, first at 2:00 for 25 minutes and second about 3:30 for 35 minutes. Lift was light and a lot of haze but worth the trip for sure. Steve K got the flight of the day (on his second) with 55 minutes.

After hemming and hawing and being discouraged by the forecast, we decided to stay home and do chores on Sunday. Then we got a call from Carlos at noon-thrty and he told us that it was sunny at Ridgely. So we bailed on the yard work, loaded up Karen's glider and headed to Highland. It was low clouds, fog and mist all the way across the bay bridge and over Kent island. I thought Carlos may have been telling us a fib. We didn't see sunshine till we reached the Tuckahoe River. There was a big blue hole of sunshine over Highland.

Karen and I each took turns on her glider-- my glider is still down with Steve Wendt waiting for Wills Wing to send the correct fabric to repair the leading edge. Ugh!!!!!!

I got an extendo of 20 minutes on the first flight and a sled on the second. Karen had an extendo.

Carlos finally got his glider together after trying to find the right zipper pull for the zip at the one sprog. He took a sled at the end of the day. Matt from Blue Sky, Jon and Paul each had a flew flights, as did Vasilly (sp?) from Philly. A group was also there doing Tandems.

Finally made it out to Highland to meet some great people and do a little flying yesterday. I had never towed my NW Freedom and the crew at Highland were awesome in helping me get my tow point figured out and even taking the first couple test flights. I am terrible with names, so please forgive me for not remembering everyone next time I see you. Looking forward to some great days at Highland this year.
