Pulpit Thursday Feb 23

Post by sailin »

Planning on taking a look at the Pulpit tomorrow early. Looking for a sweet spot in the throttle down before it goes too southwest. Anybody else interested? ETA around 9ish.

Looks mostly SW and rainy tomorrow to me. Maybe there'll be a window from 4pm-dark... Will decide in the morning...

Blown out at the Pulpit all day. Didn't even set up. The gusts up to 35mph in the morning only subsided to the lower 30s all afternoon. Not quite the throttle down I was hoping for  It never did go SW though. I probably could have sneaked a flight in at the very end of the day (430ish) after the gray cloud deck filled in but was already in heading home mode. All was not lost though..... Bacil and I had a good time hang waiting and watching the chameleon sky. Every thirty minutes or so there was different clouds present.....everything from some wave and storm clouds in the morning, to cummie cloud streets, to high cirrus strips, wave clouds in the afternoon, to grey cloud deck..............the only constant was the strong gusts. Big thanks to Bacil for coming out in hopes to help me fly.
