Has anybody tried this stunt, over here on the East Coast? It looks pretty easy - just need to find the right people that don't mind having footprints on thier nosecone...

Must be nice to have such smooth laminar air all the time. With all of the gusty wind we usually get, it probably would be too much risk. I wonder how hard it is for the bottom glider to avoid the wake turbulence during the approach.

The bottom glider will have restricted vision so I would think he keeps constant track while the other glider does the manuevering into poition.

The ocean air is incredibly predictable - no thermals - so you can horse around. There are a variety of wierd little tricks folks would do and could get away with. Zipping up in your harnsee and inch-worming off launch, tossing mulch off launch with your wing-tips during launch, but the wing-surfing does take the cake.

Either ocean breeze, or sled ride with plenty of altitude. The glider below is always high performance topless. The glider on the bottom approaches the other glider above, then the top glider pilot just drops his feet down and stands up, controlling the topless glider below while giving pitch inputs with his weight shift from above.
