Thanks JR , I don't use FB so I guess I miss out. Tell Homer I said Hi and I hope to get up your way and fly. I rode by last summer when I did a long section of the C&O and GAp bike trail.
Have a great holiday season.

Hey Pete, back at ya! The Allegheny Passage is an awesome bike trail and I ride there often (as recently as last Sunday). This was the worst flying season we've ever had, so it's nice having options.

Hey JR,

Is it snowing tonight in west-by-god Maryland cause its raining and howling and nasty like no body's business in Baltimore!

You're right, this year has hosted the the worst weather and worst model predictions than I can ever remember!

Next year is looking to be f'ughly too :-(... but the models have been pretty bad so there is some hope!

No snow in Cumberland, but they had some up on the plateau (Frstburg, Grantsville, Oakland, etc). I don't know how next year could be any worse for flying than this year, but I better get my bike and kayak ready just in case! :(

I'm pretty sure his birthday is actually Dec 10. : )

Down here it's rained almost 10 inches in the past week--Lookout's lz is still half underwater tho it definitely makes landings more interesting and entertaining. In the 20's last night and again tonight--snowed up on the ridges. Even on the sunny days there's rarely a lapse rate to speak of--the worst year I've seen down here in the south for flying.

the Ellenville LZ is also halfway underwater. Due to circumstances too tedious to recount, I ended up creating a splash that I was told looked like a speedboat slamming into a wave. No video unfortunately.

Happy birthday, big F! I'm sure facebook tried to inform me you had a birthday, but I ignore that dratted thing as much as possible.
