Posting for Nate:
I'm an old hang 4 trying to sell my 1984 Duck 160. I've put a listing on Craigslist, but no responses. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/ ... 34898.html
I'm just trying to get it out of the garage, asking $200, and the glider cover was new in about 2000, never been out of the garage since.
I looked at your site and MHGA and don't see a place for selling stuff. Is there anyway to determine if a member might be interested in a good glider for cheap?
I can provide references if needed.
Thanks
Nate Granger

Re: 1984 Duck 160 - $200
1984 Duck 160 probably has no market value and should be retired or donated to a museum. This glider design is almost 30 years old and would be considered "sub-standard" compared to medern designs. It was HGMA-certified, but they are exceptionally difficult to land and I still have a garage filled with bent downtubes from the years I flew a Duck.

I agree completely with JR's evaluation. Even if free, it would not be beneficial for anyone! When I get older gliders like that, the aluminum goes to salvage yard (for minimal value) and the sail to trash or practice sewing.
