Ok, I admit that this might be crazy, given the amount of post-holiday traffic that's going to be on the roads on Sunday....
But looking at the forecast for tomorrow, though strong, the winds aloft are supposed to be true SW (ie, less concern about rotor over the Shenandoahs from the W). The surface 'casts are SSW@15 for the afternoon. So..... Might be worth a gamble? Doesn't seem like a PG type of forecast, but maybe it will work out for the HGers?

In the cool light of a new day, I'm hesitating..... That's a long drive, on what's probably going to be a very busy night on the roads. Cardinal forum sin: The thread-starter, bailing out! But that might be my choice.

Arrived at launch around 1 pm, wind was gusting to 28 mph. I had to get home for a belated Tday meal so I did not have time to hang around. Eric Swanson did some short time hang waiting with me and left also.

Randy, thanks for posting what you found/experienced. A lot of us are always curious whether the forecast is on or off!
