Can anyone share their paragliding experiences and info about the Dolomites and Stubia Mountain region of Northern Italy?
I am trying to plan a week long visit next summer. Thanks. Pat

Re: Stubia Alps in Tyrol Italy
I have flown a number of times in the Zillertal in Austria and at Bassanno del Grappa in Italy. The sites in Zillertal are served by lifts or car shuttles. The several sites around Bassanno del Grappa all require car shuttles. I also took my SIV training at Lake Garda in Italy (2,300M height difference from the top of Mont Baldo to the landing zone at the lake). The flying is great is all locations.
I have skied (lift and back country) and climbed in the Dolomites. The paragliding is supposed to be very good but I was told it was best to fly with a guide at most of the sites for the first time. I've sent emails to a couple of friends to get details.
Here is a link on the Zillertal region

that will give you a feeling for the flying possibilities.
Another great region is in France around Chamonix. The French have great guides on their sites in both hard and softcopy. I can track down the links if you are interested.
