Passed P2 - Is anyone flying tomorrow?

Post by jmcclave »

Hello,

I finished crossing over my German Paragliding license today with Peter Humes. He said folks might be flying at Daniels tomorrow afternoon. Are there any observers going? Could I possibly tag along? I have to work in the AM but I could be there by the early afternoon.

Thank you,

Nice Jim! Looking forward to flying with you.

Tomorrow looks like a gamble to me. It looks a bit too windy. Check out weather.nostepper.com for Daniels and put in the code to get the NOAA winds aloft data.

Hello Matt,

I think you are right and you folks are the experts on this region. I may fool around with a bit of ground handling after I finish work tomorrow. I am looking forward to flying with you folks.

It's hard to be an expert at meteorology. You don't know if you don't go. Sounds like a couple people are gonna give it a shot. Peter Humes could observe for you guys. I'm gonna decide in the morning.

Jim/Matt,
I'm bailing on Daniel's today. Looks a little too strong. Any other Observers going to be there?

I am heading to Daniel's. P2s welcome, but don't get your expectations up. Good chance of being blown out.
ETA 12:30

Plan B: i am also bringing two non-flyers who are going to go hiking. I will join them (and you can, too), if it's not flyable.
So, bring friends, bring family and maybe Stone Mountain Vineyards is open when we get back from the hike/fly

Thanks Ellis - I'll get your number from Peter. I just finished work so I will not be able to make it out there today. In Europe I also was ready to switch to climbing or hiking when the paragliding weather did not work out. I'll look forward to flying or hiking with you folks soon.
