Chambersburg Fly-in
I went to the airport yesterday to take in the ultralite fly-in. I arrived to see two powered hg's in the air. They were trikes with all the ammenities of home! They had nice open cockpits with every electrical gaget you could think of. I got to talking to one of the pilots about hanggliding and found out he was a hang 5! His name was John Ballentine- Ring a bell with anyone? We got to talking about High rock. He asked if you could still fly there, and he said he set his trike down at the lz before. He even commented about the "whack dip". It was a good day at the airport- the sky was outrageous. I hope pilots were flying yesterday! I enjoyed watching sky diving, an aerial show, Biplanes, and mostly ultralights. I Had Fun! Shawn.
Chambersburg Fly-in/John B
I know John B ... He keeps his trike at the dukes field .. also known as
harrsions ... never meet a nicer guy ... that trike has a 100+ hp motor on
it he climbs out over 40 deg. and about 400 fpm as a guess. hehe .. "he dont
need a bigger motor" ... haha ! he was also president of the usua for like
15 years .. a expert flyer in every since.
