Pulpit/Woodstock Saturday 10/15
Looking west and breezy. Strong on Pulpit launch guaranteed. Woodstock may be a better option. I gotta work in the AM but should be able to get to either site by 2P+. Bacil

Weather depending I'm about 90% sure I'll be at the Pulpit on Saturday and will be looking to do a 20mil over the back flight to my wife's parents house. They have a farmhouse with a big field. Anyone else interested?

Charlie,
I'm way interested. Where do they live exactly.

Or you can launch from High Rock which won't be as windy as McConnelsburg and fly 8 miles upwind to their house.

Or you can get blown out at both sites and wish you'd gone to Woodstock instead. Just kidding! Seriously though, Pulpit looks pretty darn strong... I have no ulterior motives for this post, of course.

East of Chambersburg right before the hills start on Black Gap Road. About 16 miles north of High Rock. If it looks doable I'll get GPS cords. It's only Wednesday so lets see how the weather plays out.

Near Chambersburg in a west wind? Then the 'burg would be the place to go... but it's looking to be cooking on Saturday from there.
We are looking at trailering down to Front Royal and flying sailplanes from there onto the Massanutten.

Looking a bit brisk to me as well on Saturday-- ADDS shows W-WSW 20-25. Which means about 45 knots at the Pulpit if the forecast is correct.
