Blue Sky 6-15

Post by RichH »

Forecast is shaping up for wednesday the 15th..Winds are projected to be North at 5-10 with good thermal velocity and tops reaching over 4000 ft..Looks like we have several pilots coming to enjoy the day..Wish I was off today ..its looking great for today as well ..Hopefully it stays N and doesnt' go E as I fear..lets keep our fingers crossed...Rich Hiegel

Well the day started out with lots of promise with NNW winds around 8-10 and nice cloud formations all around us..The day looked awesome!! unfortunately by the time we had setup the winds had rotated from NNW to ENE and as soon as it did the clouds had evaporated..I deceided to launch anyway in the hopes of catching a wisp of lift but none was to be found..Very dissappointing considering the forecast..The best we were able to manage were sled rides and some landing approach practice..Maybe next time!!
