Since I almost exclusively fly PG these days, I encourage all H2s to find some other observer first and use me as a last resort. In the DC area observers tend to work like mentors. I will be the exception as far as HG is concerned. I am only an observer in the strictest USHPA sense: observing (west coast style). I can sign off on skills or give a test, I can give you decent feedback, but don't trust me to give you adequate and sufficient advice in advance of your flight!
That said, I am happy to work with any H2 who have familiarity with whatever site I am going to and since you will need to use your own judgment, I am very reluctant to work with H2 with a spotty record in that regard.

p.s. i'm happy to take new H2s to Bill's even if you haven't flown it before. LZ is nice and big and launch is decent. Just treat it like a training hill
