Paragliding information

Post by carweill »

We need an information package to orient new PG members and PG visitors.

I was looking for a list of observers in the area and could not find it.
Our roster should be the source but it is a few months old and is not clear who is PG observer or HG observer.

I will welcome any ideas

There's a sticky topic in this forum fyi for H-IIs and P-2s that links you to another page with observers. It needs to be updated, but most of the people listed are observers and I can tell you they're some of the nicest folk you'd want to me.

You can find observers who are members of CHGPA at the bottom of the main chgpa.org/forums page in the Legend as well. Mostly accurate.

Maybe we need a forum for new and visiting pilots with sticky info threads there. I'd monitor it and help people. Maybe they feel too shy to post in the main flight-related topics. I encourage new and visiting pilots to post a message here. I see a few members in the roster I've never met and have never seen post. I hope that's just because we've had some funny weather this spring.

Thanks Matt

All the tools we have and I didn't even know.

I'd like to encourage any member PG or HG to join the forum.

Yes, we could have a forum that is open to anyone's posts (no registration at the CHGPA forums required), in order to help
visiting pilots, students, and just the casually-curious. If Matt is volunteering to monitor & respond.... Then let's do it!

I'll start setting something up tomorrow, jet-lag permitting (just back from a biz trip to Japan  )
