If there's any curious party interested in heading out to fly today or tomorrow (wind dependent) I'm all clear to go. I'm with another h-2 who would be happy to help out . Any willing partners for aviation?
I made it to Pulpit about 1345, found Dan, P2 from Harrisburg who has joined CHGPA, also does skydiving and possesses an 18-meter speedwing, will train on it in Austria later this year.
Dan and Chrysta (sp?), Canadienne H2 friend of Chris H., helped Chris and me launch HGs into smooth 7-12 north cross with straight cycles. I advised Chris to make an early decision for the secondary due to north cross/likely sinky conditions. He maintained altitude for awhile as he went down the ridge, then sure 'nuff, when he did turn for the secondary, it was a long, scary upwind reach to the very top of it ("the tertiary"). Chris kept his cool and handled it well. "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." My sled direct to the the secondary was even shorter (one unproductive 360), but at least not scary.
Chrysta has a 9-meter Pulse, but no harness or helmet. She is tiny. I have Carlos' old kneehanger for my tandem passengers, and Ellis' old helmet. Anybody got an even tinier kneehanger she could use?
Training hill only for now, so no reserve needed.
