more left coast

Post by stevek »

Hey, I'm up in SLO Town (San Luis Obispo). Had a cool PG flight today at Montana de Oro State Park just south of Moro Bay. Dunes and low dirt cliffs about Gary's Beach height facing the ocean. Blowing pretty good. I launched and didn't go anywhere for a while until some guys walked over and gave me a shove. We were probably getting 200 over. One HG. The dunes peter out to the north but even the low stuff was doable. Unfortunately, the area is the nesting ground for the Snowy Plover, and endangered shore bird, so we have to go away and leave them alone for a couple of months.

Coming back home next week. I expect it to be warm dammit!

Pictures, please!

Jealous, as always, of your snowbird ways.

Come on back, there's a bunch of H2's here who need you to observe them mid-week.

Best,
Daniel
