New Hang 2!

Post by mcelrah »

Chris Hornberger is being modest and Richard doesn't post much, but Chris met Richard's high standard of 3 clean flights at Oregon Ridge a couple of weeks ago and has duly been inducted into the elite corps of novice hang-glider pilots. It is wonderful to see the great crop of up and coming pilots graduating from the schools: Jesse, Jon, Amy, Ann, Valerie - who am I missing? Matt Ingram on the PG side.
Big congratulations, Chris! And much thanks to our local and not so local instructors! - Hugh

Love it! Congrats to Chris and all the new Hang 2's!

Forgive me for hijacking this post, but I forgot to post on the forum that I received my P3 card a few weeks ago! Big thanks to all my observers, Ellis, Tom, Laszlo, Hugh, Matthew, L.E., Ben, and especially to Jim Kaplan for signing me off! I've already applied for my Dickie's permit.

Haha! Thanks Hugh. - I can always count on you to get the word out :D
It's been a great year spending time at the training hills, even seeing some of you guys out there. When times were tough (summer) it was always encouraging to read of the flying goin' on in the forum -- or hanging out and watching at our local sites 8) . I will enjoy spending plenty of time with everyone at the 'other' hills too.

As always, I would be grateful for any critique, bits of wisdom, and observing - in exchange for the adoration and determination from this young-buck ;) .. and of course the coveted beverage, wire-crew, retrieval, etc.

Feel free to bother me at any time with Hang-stuff - I'll leave my contact below.
I'll see y'all soon!

...and another one. Caleb Bisset lives in DC and apparently got his H2 from Lookout. I sent this USHPA PM to him.

Caleb,

Congratulations on your H2. (I saw you listed in the latest magazine.)

In case you don't know, we have a very active flying community right here in the area. I invite you to check out the Capitol Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association at www.chgpa.org, or visit the forum at www.chgpa.org/forums.
