Local PG Pilot wins serial class of Santiago Chili Open

Post by Dan T »

One of our local PG pilots and and a good friend of mine, Tom Ceunen won the Serial Class of the Santiago Open in Santiago Chili. He also came in 5th overall. I don't know what Serial Class means but the site is posting a 461 KM flight!

Most of the leading pilots are flying state of the art 2 line PGs. Tom doesn't have one. He gave up a significant technological advantage to the handful of pilots who finished ahead of him, and I'm sure the boatloads of them who finished behind him.

He's a great guy who coached Ellis through her longest PG XC to date. If you get to meet him take a moment to say hi and send congratulations.
