Re: Pulpit Sunday 1/2
Forecasts are all showing good wind direction but borderline "blown out" velocity for the Pulpit, while the Woodstock forecast is predicting light winds. My coin toss indicates that the Pulpit is worth the drive. I plan on arriving around 10:30.

Blown out at the Pulpit? Too light at Woodstock? Then HR will be just right... ahhh.

But won't it be a lot colder at the Pulpit than at High Rock?

Considering Pulpit
My guess is that the road is closed at Woodstock.

Raining in Hagerstown at 8am Sunday.
Considering a later day flight at High Rock if rain pushes through.
Anyone else???

Optimistically headed to the Pulpit by 8A. Ran into rain showers on and off until I entered the Hagerstown valley. At Frederick I saw clearing in the distance, and by 81 it was clear to the west, with scattered, raggedy clouds. Driving up the back side of the mountain I was hit by a few gusts. Where'd that come from? At the top the withered sock showed strong winds, the tall evergreens behind the bar were rattling around, and on launch it was strong. Listened to the gust in the trees for a few minutes, and the rise and fall times were very short in duration. Immediately called Carlos and Ward, who were inbound for the Pulpit. Got Ward just before the 81/70 junction, and Carlos 10 minutes from his house. In the nick of time. Revectored them to Woodstock, and I got on 522 and headed there too. Bacil
