2011 High Rock Ramp & New Board

Post by davidtheamazing1 »

Thanks to all for the great Winter party we had! (See the party thread for the stories)

High Rock Ramp
There was a major announcement and that is our faithful Dan Tuck is moving to sunny Southern CA. With much of the groundwork laid, with contacts and goodwill among stakeholder, plans and materials, there is a good opportunity to continue moving the project forward. Dan's company had offered to provide some low cost decking material and expertise, so we would like someone with project management or ramp construction experience to step up and take these plans forward. Hugh McElrath offered to continue serving on the High Rock Committee, but there is an opening for another leader to step forward and make this happen before we lose the connections we have at Long Fence.

CHGPA has a new board!
The election of 2011 club officers went as follows:

President: David Churchill
VP: Matt Ingram
Treasurer: Carlos Weill
Secretary: Jonithan Brantley
Flight Dir: Bacil Dickert

(Webmaster: Mark Cavanaugh)

Be sure and thank all the hard-working folks who make it possible for us flying by keeping the club going, maintain our local sites, organize activities, and do major site-improvement projects. The best way you can thank us is to pitch in and help! (We'll also accept rides, toasts, cheers, and wirecrew help)

A hearty thanks and congratulations to all the board members, new and returning.
All of the positions take dedication to serving the rowdy crowd. We really do appreciate it.

Best of luck and fair winds to Dan Tuck as he goes out to year-round good flying weather.
