There, there, Gary, you'll just have to be patient - perhaps Santa will have an iPod dock for you on Christmas Day...
I am bringing DVDs: Big Blue Sky and Broken Toe Acro.
Off topic, but this is where I can get an audience: Darryl Hatten (301 237-5579) is a housepainter who has done work for me, Matthew and Karen, and the Gregors. He does quality work and charges reasonably. Darryl is short of work at this season, where in the past he has gotten enough interior work during the winter. If you have work for him, Matthew or I would be happy to talk to you about our experience with him.

i only have had to hire others to do work on our house the previous few years. even after vetting people i've had some really bad experiences, so getting good references is valuable.
actually getting an old vcr would be a tougher task.
was hoping some would help me locate this dock that hooks up to ones house system and allows one to control the system remotely with the ipod. it's tuff to stay current with no offspring.
besides, getting a buzz going about the party and keeping it going is real work!

well, i thought yous guys all brought a really good vibe with you and, yourselves, made it a damn darn fun evening. also, people brought some really good vitals. also, i never would have thought that so many good looking women are willing to marry or otherwise associate with hg and pg pilots. also, our lady pilots clean up real well - i mean rEAl well .
and everyone made eilene feel very much appreciated - she even, unprompted, expressed enthusiasm for having you all back next year or anytime you may want to have a meeting here.
and hey brian, on behalf of the chgpa crew, screw you! ( ). we said good night to the last group on toward 1:OO A.M. . 'guess i should give you some credit though - i used your chiding to hold the first depaturees 'til 10:45.
but my main reason for posting was to express consternation that no mention has been made of the two fellow pilots, rEAl men, who stepped up and answered the call for needed club officers ( i am withholding identities so one of you blankety blanks come on and express contrition).

(at the risk of appearing needy, i wAs somewhat crestfallen that hardly anyone even acknowledged my christmas-lights-hang glider on the front of the house . ingrates. )

Well, I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to Gary and Eileen for hosting the Xmas party. It was great, except that someone stole my Manhattan <grumble>
Everybody brought such good vibes with them and thank you to the new CHGPA board!
David C., can you list all the board members with their titles? I didn't take notes and I don't want to get the titles confused.
Also to put you at ease, Gary - I did hear comments about the hang glider decoration out front. Made it really easy to identify the house, absent the pink flamingo.
People thought it was almost like a secret handshake - "hee hee... i bet the neighbors think it's supposed to be a squat xmas tree".

Ellis,
I cannot tell a lie: it was I who stole your drink (it was a Cosmopolitan, not a Manhattan - shows how much you know). But you were neglecting it and letting the ice melt - and I'm the one who made it for you! Next time ya gotta slug it down!
But nice job on the heels, hose, dress and make-up. Sets a higher standard for the other Fi-Fi's - and male participants - next year. (Say, how 'bout that guy with the dreds and mismatched knitwear?! Guys, we've got to raise our game!) I've got the scrunchies now, but Sallie doesn't like it when I shave my legs - sez they get scratchy right away...
- Hugh
P.S. We all really did notice the hang-glider in lights on our way in - curved tips, high aspect ratio and all - most artistic!

haven't got a response about the scarf yet and it's quite a nice scarf. a swanky name and a dense schmancy wool, charcoal on one side, black on the other. i'm wondering if it might belong to someones guest, someone who doesn't realize where it was left/lost and who wouldn't be reading this forum. last notice.
