Going to Ridgely for the last day of the regular season there-- highs in the low 60s and winds straight down the runway ESE.

Anyone else???

Planning to go unless there is a radical weather change.

Fun day to end the season at Highland. Joun M. had the flight of the day with about an hour and 3k altitude. I got a half hour and above tow a couple of times. I was drifting ENE away from the field and decided to come back-- MISTAKE! Found lots of sink and a couple of ladies working light lift. Tried to jon them and failed. Me and the lovely ladies all landed in succession with Karen getting a 35 minutes and Heather S. getting about 40 minutes. Amy (geesh there are a lot of women flying these days!) also had a soaring flight. A bunch of others joined the half-hour plus soaring club-- including Steve K. and Carlos and Luis. Jon and Greg Sessa and a few Ridgely Regulars also flew... plus a few tandems.

Karen and I relit for a very buoyant end of day sled-- lots of zero snk-- eeked out almost 20 mintues.

We finished the day with dinner at Rustico's Restaurant in Stevnsville with Calros, Luis, Jon, Amy and Greg.

Had another fun day at Ridgely! Got a nice extended ride on my first flight, after finding lift over the dragonfly hangar, with the highlight being a bald eagle that joined me for a short time. Second flight was a nice smooth sled. Awesome to see all the gliders out there!
Ended the evening with some good company and some fine dining at an Italian place in Stevensville.

I too enjoyed the last day at Ridgely.

Thanks to John M. for allowing me to use his F2 170.

For the first time, I found lift and seemed to be able to stay in it- I like that area above the hangar region!

Will be looking forward to coming back out in March.
