I was flipping through the August issue of the USHPA mag and noticed a photo on page 60 that looked oddly familiar. I realized it was a pic of David Bodner launching from the Pulpit at the Fly-in this year.

That pilot launching in the picture is Greg Sessa and the picture was taken by his father Mel at the Pulpit in October of 2009. Bacil

At first I thought it was, too. But, it isn't. So disappointing.
Like mine, it's a Falcon with a blue undersurface. But I think it looks like a Falcon 3 to me (transverse batten, nosecone). I fly a Falcon 2.
There's a large green streamer (perhaps saying "hook in?") on the nosewire. Mine has a tuft of yarn.
3. The leading edge appears to be burgundy; mine's white.
4. My Falcon has the really big wheels.

5. The picture is in the August 2010 magazine. The fly-in was the weekend of September 18-19, 2010. Unless Superman flew around the world against the rotation to turn back the clock
, a picture of Dave from 9/18/10 will not appear in a magazine dated a month earlier

"What kind of glider does Superman fly?"
If he's going backwards, must be one that does not penetrate too well.
