Hi Folks
My name's Richard Milla - I met some of you at the HG film presentation at the Smithsonian in DC back in April - i'm a Brit, working for BAE SYSTEMS down here at NAS Pax River (yep, right at the end of the peninsula) on the F-35 program.
Been kinda busy since then (including getting my private licence revalidated) but am now finally able to get out again with my HG (H3 FL ST AT, about 60 hours, flying a WW Sport2) and PG (P2 FL ST, about 20 hours, flying a Firebird Ignition). Have flown hills (UK, Tennessee, Mexico), flats (Texas, Florida) and mountains (France, New Mexico).
Looks like i can get out this weekend for either Sunday or Monday, but probably not both.
I can tow but much prefer foot launching. Haven't been to any of the "local" hill sites yet. Been out to Highland airpark once (by Cessna as part of my private licence reval!) so know where they are. Not been to Blue Sky in VA yet.
Am wondering if anyone's planning any flying outings this weekend as i'll obviously need to tie up with local knowledge for directions, site rules, etc.
Hope to see some of you on a hill or tow field in the next few days.
If it's easiest to talk, rather than message via the forum: my cell number is 817 437 4912.
Thanks
Richard

Welcome!
Let me know if you're interested in flying PG, I try to get out every weekend. Today looks lousy (too windy). Will check weather for tomorrow tonight. Possibly truck towing on Monday.
