First pg mountain flight

Post by flying_story »

I flew my paraglider off a mountain for the first time this evening! It was fun, though a little intimidating trusting the canopy. PG instructor Terry Bono saw me off in nice late day conditions at the north facing Little Gap site in PA about an hour and a half north of Philly.

It was surprising how many little bumps I felt along the way. Is it just the difference between the two wings? It seemed like I was more in touch with the little things going on in the air.

Anyway, I had a pass along the ridge and then out to the lz. My approach was nice but it will take a while to be able to gauge the glide of the different wing. The lz is big enough that I landed with plenty of room.

A good day.

Woohoo! You go, girl! Trying to get Sallie to P2 (it's gotten harder) with either Dwayne or Terry. Come fly Pulpit (new gravel ramp) and Daniel's with the Capital crew! - Hugh

Good job Judy.

Will you be able to fly more in that area?
