Looks a little light: 5-10 out of the NW. Gonna be much nicer with temps near 80. I won't be flying it yet but could chat and learn more about the site and how to get to the LZ,. Anyone considering?
If not, I think I will try visiting Long's Hill.
Thanks,
Ann

Re: Woodstock Friday 4/30?
I've been crossing my fingers since yesterday that Woodstock might work out for Friday. I'd venture a guess that there may be some thermal possibility after about 2:30, and not too bad for the ol' single surface falcon. I could be up for giving it a try mid/late afternoon if we can find an observer.

PS ... I gave TonyD a call, and he may be in for an afternoon try if he can cut work early ... more to come.

Re: Woodstock Friday 4/30?
A couple of paraglider pilots have mentioned Woodstock Friday (perhaps a bit earlier, like 1100) but I'm not seeing any HG observers come out of the woodwork. (Try the procedure recommended in the H2 protocol: call them on the phone, offer beer, offer to drive if they go XC - desperate times call for desperate measures...) Alas, I used up all my leave on getting the sailplane license... - Hugh

Forecast looks a little too north Friday. I will check it again in the morning before trying Woodstock.

Check the NOAA graphical forecast for Hagerstown for tomorrow. It's showing NW picking up in the afternoon... looks promising for HR?
