Didn't turn out quite like we would have liked. Times ranged from an hour to a few sleds and gains ranged from a few hundred over to 2K over. Skies looked great but very light on the ground and on launch. One highlight was an immature eagle diving down to the edge of the slot's tree line from just above the slot, pulling up, and dropping its talons down, then repeating the process two more times by climbing up in light lift above the slot.

A decent crowd of fellow slackers at the Sac: Bacil, Ward, Pete, Tom, Joe Gorrie, Doug Rogers, Emilio from PA and Dave from PA. Karen Gorrie and Natalie Rogers also dropped by and warmed up the place.
I carpooled with Tom and Pete and their chatty young retrieve driver, PT, hoping some of their XC juju would rub off on me. Instead, was rewarded for our 3.5 hour drive with a 14 minute flight with a max climb of 289 feet over. As Bacil mentioned, it was a surprisingly difficult day, light and cross NW. All sleds or extendo's except for Pete who had the flight of the day and boy he earned it: scratched low for a long time before he stuck. Tom gets an A for effort, he flew three times, and accumulated 15 minutes of airtime. He came up with the brilliant idea of transporting his Lightspeed the short distance up the mountain assembled by tying it to the roof rack laid flat on the control frame. Sorry, no pictures of that.
...bet it went magic at High Rock. Did anyone give it a try?
