Met up with an old college buddy in town visiting and took him to the SAC yesterday. On the drive up skies were looking great, and there was a nice breeze from the NNW. Took our time and got to launch around 1:30P. Nice cycles coming up the slot, with a NW cross, but no cumies around the immediate vicinity. Plenty of nice looking cumies upwind and laterally. Set up and it died down to a trickle. Took a sledder around 2:30P. Very cross from the WNW on the ridge. Back at launch Joe Gorrie was set up and ready to go. Joe took a sledder around 4:30P. Karen DNF. Talking to Joe about the day, Joe surmised that it was working in the morning. He went outside a few times in the morning on breaks from his workplace and it was breezy and clouds were all around. Violated my #1 rule to get there early always, but didn't this time, and maybe missed the soarable/XC window in the AM. There will be another day.
