BlueSky July 27 & 28

Post by Roger »

Forecast is looking good for Tuesday but great for Wednesday.
The farmer has cut down the green, thermal killing corn and left a nice dry field with unlimited thermal potential. And space to land a toppless. For a extra $20, I wonder if we can get him to drive around to trigger it?

No, Steve had to be at RIC to pick up someone and drop Tanya (Mrs BlueSky) off around 14:00. I had too much to do around the house anyway.
Can you come out tomorrow?

FWIW I've been eyeing the median on hwy 360, I think it's doable. My major concern is landing lengthwise. The reason is I don't think my feet will touch because the wing tips will be touching and I would be swinging over the "ditch." I think it will be safer too verses landing in some far away, large, remote field. If I should have a bad landing, there will be plenty of witnesses to dail 911. And on the flip side, if all goes well, it should help with retrival too. It's a win--win.

I kid, I kid.

Enjoy! ... I've been grounded two weeks, and this weekend isn't shaping up to let me out either. I might just have to pick a day to play hookie!

Nevermind. XCSkies still shows today as good, but a quick glance at the satellite IR, says otherwise. This will teach me to make predictions.
