Pulpit Sunday

Post by Matthew »

The weekend forecast has changed. Looks like the front is rolling through today (Saturday). Sunday Pulpit forecast is sunny and West 5-10--- no rain or chance ot T-storms. Anyone else up for the Pulpit?

Yes, the Pulpit might be good Sunday; Woodstock might be good Monday; Dickey's might be great Saturday. Anyone headed to Dickey's Saturday? (Grass is high in the LZ I believe at Dickey's)

Where did you get that forecast? Hagerstown's forecast tomorrow is 40% chance of T-storms according to weather.com. You want to gamble with it hot and humid tomorrow? Bacil

I am interested in flying somewhere on Sunday. Had a fairly good class at Taylors today. Anyone have thoughts on HR or Ridgely for Sunday? Bacil, whats you forecast suggest?

I am interested in flying my paraglider at Kirchner's, just up the road from the Pulpit. Anyone else interested in a training hill day?!!

PA Radar looks clear. Hot as hell here in DC. Heading up to the Pulpit with PGs and bathing suits. Might stop at the swmming hole in Greencastle or the lake at Catoctin afterwards.

Took a ride up top sunday midafternoon,13-20 fairly steady with easy ramp up of windspeed, not as hot here, mid 80's but didn't feel uncomfortable, would have been a good ridge lift day, probably too much clouds(shading) for thermals, primary is still not mowed yet.RichB
