California made me Bi

Post by TwoFly »

I'm in SoCal to do some flying. I used to teach Paragliding at Marshall/Crestline and flew hang gliders a bit WAY back.
Never really enough to consider myself a hang pilot, though.
Got out here on Saturday, flew my bag and settled in to watch the Acro hang competition from the LZ. You probably know how that went.....
And i STILL started hanging again on Sunday.
Hour plus flights everyday since, a bunch of low saves and spot landings, and i have my H3.
I am no longer bi-curious. I am officially Bi-wingual.
Woohoo! no more hanging out, working wire crew, and driving home with my bag in the car.
Hope to see you all on the hill soon.

Congratulations! You are the first one I know of who crossed over in that direction - must of us went from HG to PG. - Hugh (H4/P3)

No, you missed the line " flew hang gliders a bit WAY back". Still no pure examples of the viagra jump: as flying life goes on you only go from stiff to limp, not the other way round.

Actually, I guess going from flex wing to stiff wing is the viagra move, but you have to at least have some plumbing to begin with.

No, I started with PG's about 1996.
Solo'd a lawn dart around 2003.
I still prefer flying a bag, but the extra speed and glide sure comes in handy on those windy days.
